show and tell (with parenthesis)

Before I do show and tell - which this week is just going to be TELL, I thought I would just discuss the survivor situation. I am eagerly anticipating tonight's episode of survivor - as the second to last show, it's bound to be action packed. (I hardly ever get to say 'action packed.')

But, sadly (but not really) I will not be home to see the finale.
Middle has promised to videotape it for me (NO, we do not have TIVO. K doesn't 'like the quality.') and I will view it sometime early next week. Even if I do hear who wins while I am away, I'd still like to see how it all unfolds.

I suppose show and tell can remain on thursdays - especially since Loretta is having fun with her lists on fridays...(unless I hear a huge, and I mean huge, which would include LURKERS, moan of dismay - in which case I WILL move it back to fridays). (Are you getting this?)

This week I asked to see a tee shirt.
And I am afraid that I am going to cop out and just tell you about some tee shirts.
Notable tee shirts. (I just cannot start going through my things and taking pictures as my room is in iron/pack mode.)

1. The Gap Favorite Tee - well priced and relatively well made, this tee shirt is a good staple.
This past year The Gap was nice enough to print their labels in the the Favorite Tee which makes it even more comfortable. The sleeves on this tee are a reasonable length. I don't care for cap sleeves and this tee has actual short sleeves. My only problem with this tee shirt is that it seems to become tissue thin after two summers -- but at $16, I really can't complain.

2. Old Navy Perfect Fit Tee - available at odd times, unavailable at still odder times, cheaper still at $10, it took a while for me to figure out which Old Navy tee was best for my body.
Strangely, I think the fabric is heavier than the ones at the Gap. Unfortunately the fit is not great - the sleeves are a little short and so is the body. Also? I have to take a seam ripper to the tags (there are TWO at the neck) as they are seemingly sewn in with fishing line - OUCH.

3. Three Dots - I love love love my Three Dots tee and cardigan. Heavy cotton, beautiful fit, nicely finished, great sleeves and length. Downside? Price. There is just no way these could be a staple of my wardrobe at $40 and up.

I look at the American Apparel site all the time, but I can't seem to bring myself to order a shirt from them.
I've spent time browsing Michael Stars tees, but haven't tried one.

I'm anxious to hear if anyone has favorites that I don't know about.
I'm short and curvy...

(And let us not even MENTION what ever happens to be Oprah's favorite tee, all right?)

I like the Mossimo v-neck tees from Target this season. Good for curves and they're nice and long in the torso. You'll have to take your seam ripper to the tag sewn in on the side though.

I'm up and did SHOW & tell, like it's sposed to be.

Vote for Thursday.

I also like 3/4 sleeve fitted t's from J Jill - in the PETITE section - they are fitted, wonderful for curvy girls and thick material. Pretty little off-centered bow on the scoop neck. Pretty, pretty colors.

And Coldwater Creek has a really inexpensive double-cloth front (YES!) 3/4 sleeve with a little v-dip cut in the neckline. I think they priced out at $9 each on sale. Great for spring/fall walks, as the double cloth really offers some warmth.

Except for some fitted t's and some crop pants, I can't find anything at J Jill or Coldwater Creek - way too baggy, drapey stuff. But check out their petites section for tops.

I can't stand tees, they're all too tight, showing off my baby belly flab. I suppose a few sit-ups are in order.

I posted a comment earlier but it didn't show up...
I'm up.
You know you can't find a good fitting tee shirt because they do not exist. Just sayin'

It's 9:30pm west coast time- but I'M FINALLY UP! and now I'm going to bed!

I think your gone this weekend right? If so have a wonderful time.

You know which tee's I really like-are the basic tee's sold at Nordstorm in their own label-they come in all colors and have just enough spandex to make the fitted but not whoochie! They are also a great price- I just load up on them and wear them with capris and my skirt-

I need to go shopping now instead of bed!

Oh, and Thrusday's work for me.
